In The Last Days
by Gary Colbert
The Lord said, "In the last days I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh." (Jude 2:28-29) This is the season for the out-pouring of the Spirit of God. We are in the last days. Isaiah 60 says, "Arise! Shine! for our light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon the sons and daughters." We must be alert! Be sober! Be awake! We are in a season that we must make sure we are lined up with the Word of God, not in works alone, but in spirit. When the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit comes, our containers need to be emptied from all earthly matter in order to be filled with the glory of God. September 1st is the beginning of the former rain and the latter rain. That means a double portion of blessing in our finances, health, deliverance, winning lost souls, and ministries. Whatever our situation, there will be an overflow of blessings that will come our way. The Lord is saying that He will restore everything the swarming locusts, crawling locusts, and consuming locusts have eaten. This is a season of restoration. Everything that has been lost will be restored. Hallelujah! Psalms 121:1 "Lift up your eyes to the hills from whence comes my help, our help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth." Selah |
Hold Fast
By Shanda Dunston
This is the hour where the Spirit of the Lord is calling a greater emphasis upon holding and keeping that which we have. The Lord showed me a huge rope in the Spirit that was used for tug of war. On the right side were Saints of God and on the left side were rulers of darkness. Some of the Saints on the rope had a minimal grip using only one hand in trying to keep the enemies from taking that which they had already possessed in God. The activity of the Spirit realm has become more intense and it is called to strengthen our grip and become more gritted in the Lord and the things he has called us to possess. The word grit is defined as, firmness of mind, or spirit, unyielding courage in the face of hardships or danger and not letting go. One of the enemy’s greatest mission is to debase our spiritual progress, to cause deterioration of our righteous, to exchange the value to having a lesser authority, but David says in Psalms 18;24 that he teaches my hands to war, that word hand is plural not just one, we take the violent by force with all the arsenals that the Holy one has equipped us for. It's not enough to know about Gods kingdom; we are called to posses it, we persist until the substance of God's Kingdom is not just a doctrine but, a functional reality in our lives. Revelation 3:11 says, hold fast see that no man take your crown. WE WILL HOLD FAST TO THE THINGS OF THE KINGDOM!! Amen |
Break Forth!
by Benita Collins
During this season, I so clearly hear the Spirit of the Lord proclaiming to his children, “Break forth”! Break is defined in Webster as to escape with sudden forceful effort, to interrupt, to destroy continuity and forth is defined as onward in time, place or order, to go forward. By combining the two words the definition has even greater power; it means to come out suddenly, as sound, light, etc. Envision a ray of light breaking through a cloudy day – nothing can stop it! Many have found themselves locked into a holding pattern or set on a mundane course. This is our hour and our moment to break into a new progression but more importantly, a forward thrust. Just yesterday a friend of mine told me that in her prayer time God told her that we have been standing on the wrong side of the door – enter in. Now, you may say that is not as easy as it sounds. The key is to stay in a position of prepared readiness, which is accomplished by our sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and constant communication with the Father. He states in Jeremiah 29:11, that he has the plans for our lives…We can also view this militarily, our troops are on a watch and are in a state of prepared readiness waiting for that moment when they will break enemy lines and move forward. As we look at our own lives, the enemy may have gained territory that rightfully belongs to us; whether it is our health, property, that new job or promotion, spiritual growth, finances, or even our loved ones. As we seek and commune with the Father, he gives us the go ahead as to when and how we can break that hold in our life. One of his many promises rest in Isaiah 58:8, “Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily; and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward”. Be encouraged, beloved, this is your season! Get ready to interrupt what the enemy had planned! Isaiah 54:2-3 "Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited." |
